Jared Sorhaindo (Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1986) has an MA in International Relations and International Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University. He has a keen interest in 20^thcentury European and Middle Eastern history, particularly Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Central-Eastern Europe, and Israel. A resident of Washington, D.C., Sorhaindo volunteers at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, sports, and learning languages. El rincón de Antonia

Antonia Tejeda Barros (Barcelona, 1975). Mother of three, sister, wife, Holocaust researcher, Doctor in Philosophy (UNED, Madrid, Spain, 2023, cum laude), MA in Philosophy (UNED, 2015, cum laude), Bachelor of Arts (Early Music, Recorder & Pedagogy, Koninklijk Conservatorium, The Hague, the Netherlands, 2002), fibromyalgia warrior, and Woody Allen fan.

Dr. Tejeda Barros got her PhD in Philosophy (UNED, 2023, cum laude) with her thesis: "Viktor Emil Frankl y Jean-Paul Sartre: la religión a pesar de Auschwitz y una libertad sin Dios. El sentido y sinsentido del sufrimiento de las víctimas" ["Viktor Emil Frankl and Jean-Paul Sartre: religion in spite of Auschwitz and freedom without God. The meaning and meaninglessness of the victims' suffering"]. She was a gifted child. Her areas of research are the Holocaust, antisemitism, Viktor Frankl, existentialism (Sartre), Nietzsche, Freud, Ortega, Camus, and Hannah Arendt. She works as volunteer at the Holocaust Museum LA, USA, and at the Mémorial du Camp de Gurs, France. She is writing a book about Sartre, Frankl, and the Holocaust. She is a Holocaust researcher at the Tiergarten 4 Association in Berlin and has been invited to lecture about Viktor Frankl and the Holocaust at the Centro-Sefarad Israel (Madrid, Spain). Dr. Tejeda Barros currently lives in Madrid, Spain, with her husband and their three amazing children.

Randy’s Corner

E. Randol Schoenberg (Los Angeles, 1966) is an attorney, philanthropist, law professor, museum chair and dad. He graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1988 and a certificate in EuropeanCultural Studies. In 1991 he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California. Randol is of-counsel and was the co-founding partner of Burris, Schoenberg & Walden, LLP, where he handled a number of complex business litigation matters, specializing in cases involving looted art and the recovery of property stolen by the Nazi authorities during the Holocaust. Mr. Schoenberg has tried and argued cases before the United States Supreme Court, Second and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court, California Court of Appeal and the Los Angeles Superior Court. During the past decade, he has litigated several prominent cases, including Austria versus Altmann case. In the Altmann case, he sought return of six famous Klimt paintings to his client. After persuading the United States Supreme Court that Maria Altmann could sue Austria for return of the paintings, he agreed to arbitrate the dispute in Austria. In January 2006 the arbitration panel decided that the paintings, valued at over $325 million, should be returned to Mrs. Altmann. In 2007, Randol received the California Lawyer Attorney of the Year award for outstanding achievement in the field of litigation. He also received the 2006 Jurisprudence Award from the Anti-Defamation League and the Justice Louis D. Brandeis Award from the American Jewish Congress. Randol is the grandson of Austrian composers Arnold Schoenberg and Eric Zeisl. Actor Ryan Reynolds portrays Randol in the film Woman in Gold (2015).
